The Octorara Area School District is excited to announce that we will be holding the Octorara Agriculture, Business, Environmental Science and Technology Expo (OABEST Expo) on Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The OABEST Expo, is a large school and community event that showcases K-12 students and community activities. It is a day of fun-filled demonstrations, activities, a petting zoo, crafters/vendors, rides, food trucks, first responder displays, speakers, music, and much, much more. It's time when the Octorara community comes together!

OABEST Expo Community Yard Sale 

The Octorara Area School District is partnering with local businesses to showcase the best of our school and community at the 8th Annual Octorara Agriculture, Business, Environmental Science and Technology Expo (OABEST). The 2023 Expo will be held on Saturday, May 20th  from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the Octorara School District campus.
     
A new addition to the OABEST Expo is a COMMUNITY YARD SALE. Residents of the Octorara Area School District are invited to set up  10 x 10 space and sell their gently used items. There is no set up fee and sellers may keep all money earned from the sale of their items. A voluntary donation in support of career and technical education student activities is not required but will be gratefully accepted.  Set up time for the Yard Sale begins at (TIME). Spaces are first come first served on the day of the event. Sellers will need to provide their own tent, tables, and chairs. Please note, the Yard Sale is for the sale of personal items by area residents. All transactions are the responsibility of the participants. The sale of alcohol, illegal drugs, unlicensed goods, weapons of any kind, and sexually explicit materials is prohibited. Participants will be expected to take any unsold items with them at the conclusion of the Expo.

WHAT IS IT?

This community day fair showcases what Octorara students do. OABEST Expo is a collaborative community event. Local industry partners and businesses, colleges, educational mobile lab facilities, government officials, development councils, and workforce boards are joining the Expo with a variety of interesting fun filled demonstrations guaranteed to pique the interest of all members of the community.
 
Food trucks, craft vendors, job fair, student demonstrations, K-12 art exhibit, First Responder demonstrations, crafts, music, games, hayrides and many more fun filled activities take place. This year OABEST will be adding more exhibits and demonstrations.  NEW TO THE EXPO:  Community Job Fair, Community Yard Sale, Moon bounces, mechanical bull ride, games, and raffle baskets will be added.
